What we’re about…

• HYAC exists to give Hamilton youth a voice.
• Youth have the right to address, create discussion, and make recommendations on issues pertaining to all levels of government.
• We strive to work together with youth and youth organizations, as well as adults.  
• We are empowered and encouraged to get involved and have our voices heard.  
• We look for opportunities to give our constructive and innovative input of on those matters, which are likely to have an impact on us.
• As young leaders, more of us are “stepping-up” and taking an active role in Municipal decisions. Why? Because we believe that by making positive contributions now, we can enjoy the benefits of an inclusive, healthy and unified community tomorrow.
• As young people, we value and respect diversity – this enables us to discover, learn and be open to the ideas of others.
• We strive to act with integrity our actions and in our partnerships with others.
